1Our Privacy Philosophy

Nurse Alarm LLC ("we" or "us") publishes AnyPath (the "App"). The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. It has no user accounts, no advertising, and no tracking. It never sends your files, your file paths, your links, or your clipboard contents anywhere. Everything the App does to work out a path happens locally, and every action starts with your keyboard shortcut. There is no background monitoring of your keyboard, clipboard, or screen content.

The macOS App makes two routine connections to our own infrastructure: an update check, and - only if you have bought a license - a license check. Neither observes you, your files, or your activity.

The App is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. By using it, you represent that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction).

2What the App Accesses (and Why)

When - and only when - you press an AnyPath shortcut, the App reads the application in focus to determine the file path, folder path, or web address you are looking at, and places that text on your clipboard. Applications expose that information in very different ways, so depending on which one you are using this may mean reading a window title, reading an accessibility value, using the application's own automation interface, reading the settings or session files that application keeps on your device, or asking the operating system which files that application currently has open or which folder it is working in. The App only ever reads: it never modifies another application, and it asks only about the application you are actively using at the moment you press the shortcut. That information is used only to produce the text you asked for, then discarded.

Clipboard: The App writes your copied path or link to the system clipboard. It does not read, monitor, or log your existing clipboard contents.

Cloud links: When you copy a cloud link, the App builds it locally from the sync information your cloud storage app already keeps on your device. It never contacts the storage provider and never touches your account. Which storage services this works for depends on your platform and can change as the App is updated.

Settings: Your preferences, such as your chosen shortcuts, are stored only on your device.

Permissions: On macOS, the App requests the Accessibility and Automation permissions, used solely for the purpose described above; you can revoke them at any time in System Settings.

3Optional Feedback and Diagnostics

The App sends no telemetry by default. Two features can send something, and only if you choose to use them.

Send Feedback: Send us anonymous feedback directly through the App. An optional diagnostic report may include your App version, your operating-system version, and a technical diagnostic summary. It never includes your files, file names, or paths. If you are offline, your note is saved on your device and sent later.

Optional diagnostics (off by default): If you turn on the Diagnostics setting, the App sends us a short technical report when something fails, when a result needed guesswork, or when an update check completes. Reports describe only what the App was doing and how it went - never your files, file contents, file names, file paths, clipboard contents, or personal identifiers such as your name, username, or device name. They may be processed by an error-reporting service acting on our behalf, are used solely to diagnose and fix defects, and can be turned off at any time.

4Purchases and License Checks

Windows: The App is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Purchases, subscriptions, trials, and refunds are handled by Microsoft under their terms and privacy policy - we never see your payment details.

macOS: The macOS App is sold directly, not through the Apple App Store. Payment is processed by a third-party provider acting as merchant of record under its own terms and privacy policy; we never see your card details. The provider gives us your email address and order details so that we can deliver and support your license.

License checks: After you activate a license, the App checks that it is still valid - once when it launches, and about once a week while it is running. That check sends your license key and a random identifier the App generated for this installation. The identifier is deliberately not your computer name, username, or any hardware identifier; it means nothing outside your license, and exists solely so we can apply the device limit. The check returns only whether the license is active.

5Software Updates

On Windows, updates are delivered by the Microsoft Store. The macOS App periodically checks our update server for a newer version; the check sends no personal data.

6Data Storage and Security

The App stores nothing about you off your device, so there is no App-held database of your files, paths, or copying activity to breach. If you have bought a license, your email address and order record are held by our payment provider under its own security practices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.

7Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
